BRIXFEST



BRIXFEST 26th to 30th May 2018

Saturday at Brixfest has become over the years the busiest day of the festival due to its varied activities.  Saturday is Brixfest's showpiece.

This year's VIP is Mary Thompson, who will honor Brixfest with the official opening at 11am, followed by live music from the Brixham Town Band.  Mary leads an amazing group of local people in their efforts to keep Brixham looking as beautiful as it can.  Pride in Brixham volunteers are funded entirely by donations, and have recently won Best Overall at the Bay Blooms Awards.

There will be Live music, and Food Stalls throughout the day,

ENGLANDS SEAFOOD COAST COOKING DEMONSTATIONS 12-2 MAIN STAGE
Local Chef's demonstrate their knowledge of local ingredients and sustainable fish by cooking on stage to a live audience.

This is then all followed by a Grand Firework display at about 9.50 pm.  Follow this on Brixfest Facebook page.  Brixfext is renowned for its Fireworks, and 2018 Brixfest is going all out to beat last years showing.

ON 27TH MAY (SUNDAY)

Brixfest has the annual Dragonboat Challenge, where teams of local people battle to become the BrixFest Champion.  There will be a minimum of three heats plus the finals.

Last years winners Buoys N Belles have won the first two Dragonboat Challenges and hold the course record.  Full schedule to be announced, so look on the BrixFest Facebook page or website.

Again as Saturday, Many Food Stalls and great entertainment for the day

On 28th MAY (MONDAY)

BRIXFEXT CHARITY MARKET.  8 charities from the local area gather to gether to exhibit, demonstrate and explain what they do to members of the public.  The old Fish market 11-4pm 

Childrens Day takes place in the largest ever marquee, on Breakwater Beach.  Face Painting, Balloon Shaping and much much more.

While visiting, why not try the Heritage Trail, take a good walk and take in the views.
