Terms

Reservation/Deposits:-

Booking enquiries can be made by telephone, or e-mail, by anyone of 18 years or over

Upon booking a valid debit or credit card must be used and will be charged for the total amount for the first night's stay on each room as a deposit. All deposits paid are non-refundable apart from in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the owners.

Rates and Availability:-
Rates quoted are per room per night and are correct only for the specified number of guests, nights and dates shown and agreed. Should you change any of the above, then the rates are subject to change.

In the rare case that due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot deliver your requested accommodation, you will be offered alternate accommodation or a full refund.

Payment Methods:-
You may choose to pay your final account by Cash or Debit/Credit card when all deposits will be deducted from the final bill. We accept all major cards, with no charge being made for debit cards. A nominal handling fee of 2% will be made for any credit card payments. Sorry but cheques are no longer accepted. All payments for accommodation are due on arrival. It is agreed by the booking signatory that any outstanding accounts, following departure, may be deducted by the management using the signatorys' credit or debit card details.
For bookings of a duration of 7 or more nights we request full payment 7 days in advance of your planned arrival date with no refunds offered.

Cancellations:-
The balance of the payment due is subject to a 7 days cancellation policy. In the event of cancellation within 7 days of the date of arrival or a no-show, the remainder of the booking cost will be charged unless any nights are re-let by Garway Lodge.

To make a cancellation you must call 01803-293126 or send an e-mail to [email protected] giving your name and planned check-in date. Late arrivals or early departures will be charged at 100% of the period unused. Any amendments to your original booking may result in a 100% charge if the original room booked cannot be re-let.

We recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. As a small business we cannot underwrite any loss from bookings made from guests who decide, for whatever reasons to change their travel plans.

Arrival and Departure:-
Check-in is from 3pm GMT to 8pm on your day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed prior to arrival. Any rooms not occupied or communications of lateness not made by 9pm will be considered as a no-show and re-let.

On your day of departure, we request that rooms are vacated by 10.30am. Any rooms not vacated by 11am will be charged a subsequent night unless by prior agreement. We are happy to safely store luggage if your planned departure time from Torquay is later in the day.

Liability:-
The management will not accept responsibility for any valuables lost or mislaid unless handed in for safe custody. The free, off road, car parking spaces are for patrons use, but we take no responsibility for any damages or losses incurred to vehicles in the car park, or property contained therein. Guests are reminded to take the usual precautions and not leave any valuables or other items on show in their vehicles.

Our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and under no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.

Smoking Policy:-
In compliance with legislation it is illegal to smoke anywhere within the premises of Garway Lodge. Smoking is only allowed on the outside patio.
Guests either found smoking within their rooms or remains of signs of smoking by leaning out of the windows will be charged a fee of £50 to cover deep cleaning costs. Fees will be added to the guest account, for payment prior to departure. Guests continuing to abuse the law will be asked to leave, with any accommodation monies already paid non-refundable.

Alcohol:-
Garway Lodge has a licence to provide alcohol for residents and their personal guests. Guests are respectfully reminded that the cost of any damage caused by spillages will be actively sought after and requested before departure.

Behaviour and Damage:-
In the event of unsociable behaviour by a guest or group of guests that causes unacceptable noise or disturbance to other guests, resulting in complaints, cancellation or curtailment by other guests; the offender(s) will be asked to leave without refund and the head of the party of the offending guest(s) agrees to pay any costs resulting from the said behaviour.

The costs of any damage caused to the premises, its fabric, decoration, fixtures, fittings, furniture or equipment by a guest or group of guests shall be fully re-imbursed by the guest(s) in question prior to departure. The management reserves the right to estimate the costs of any such damage. Any monies paid by the guest(s) in excess of the actual costs of replacement/reinstatement will be refunded.

Upon departure, any house keys not returned will be charged at £20 per set.

Unregistered guests:-
All guests are required to register on arrival. Outside visitors are allowed by prior arrangement. Please ensure they have left the building by 10pm .
Management reserves the right to charge a fee of £35 per non-registered guest for any period beyond 10pm. Immediate payment will be required.

Use of Wi-fi:-
The provision of wi-fi services (excluding some restricted sites) are provided free of charge. However we ask that due care and consideration is given to the amount and time taken downloading data and that all sites visited are of legal status only. Any downloads will be the sole legal responsibility of the operator. For safety purposes laptops should be turned off when left unattended.

Data Protection:-
We may process the information that you provide to us for the purposes notified by us to the Information Commissioner. By making a booking you consent to this processing of information. If you wish not to be contacted occasionally for general marketing purposes in the future please inform us and we will of course comply with your wishes. Please be assured that no personal data will ever be supplied to third parties.

We may use software filters for extra spam control. Third parties will not be allowed to use your personal information for their own purposes.
